If you get some error when using WordPress Domain Name Changer, you can restore your database but you must do that manually. Below I will explain the step by step how to fix it if you caught an error.
1. First, open your PHP MyAdmin window on your hosting provider.
2. Click on the database name you used for your WordPress to expand the table.
3. Click on wp-options table and click browse and edit the option_id = 1
4. Change your option_value into your old domain name. Dont forget to put the http:// in your URL.
5. If everything okay, Log In again into your blog admin and point to Domain Name Changer Plugin to repeat the process to change your domain name and don’t forget the http://.
6. If still getting error…Feel free to ask…maybe I can help you

hey,
this is exactly what i did and now everything is working fine for me.
but there is this one other problem.
even though the new url gives me the same site and now also a working wordpress admin area.
most of the link in the blog and also the old articles are still pointing to omzview.com/archive links.
meaning that i cannot take down or change the omzview website
Dear omer,
hmm…I think you must repeat the process =) because the old URI (omzview still there)…
you can repeat the process of how to use this domain name changer in your new domain to update the links that still not updated =)

Hey
I bought a new server and I’m trying to transfer my site to there. I backed up all the files and database. Once the new server was ready with the new name, I installed WP, copied over the files, and linked the database. In the WP settings, I changed the wordpress url and blog url to the new one. So the homepage loads up with all my widgets, posts etc. But when you click on a post, it gives the oops page not found error. I installed your plugin but it doesnt seem like it fixed the problem. What am I doing wrong. So you know, my site was installed on a, say, domain.com/folder and I am trying to move it to, say, newdomain.com.
Thank you!
Dear anupam,
hmm….u must use this plugin before you copy the files into another new domain =)…
first, use this wordpress domain name changer plugin and then move your WP blog into your new domain name…that’s it….
